How To Cook Bacon With Garlic And Mustard In The Oven - Recipe

Learn how to cook "Bacon with garlic and mustard in the oven". Delicious recipe.

Required products :

  • 600 grams of colorful bacon (with strips of meat on it) with skin
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 3 tablespoons barbecue spice
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper (ground)
  • mustard to taste and optional
  • salt to taste

Method of preparation :

Use fresh bacon, not frozen. Cut it into 4 equal pieces 15 centimeters long and 5 centimeters wide.

You can make your own mix of dried oregano, thyme, coriander, bay leaf, to which add ground black and red pepper. Another option is to use a ready-made barbecue spice, for example.

Peeled garlic cloves cut into small pieces.

Add to the dry aromatic mixture.

Rub generously on all sides the pieces of bacon with the resulting combination. You can spread with mustard if you wish.

Leave in the fridge for a few hours (this time is optional, but makes the bacon more tender and fragrant) or wait about 30 minutes before cooking to allow the spices to flavor the pieces.

Then arrange them in a deep bowl and pour a little water (about 50 milliliters).

Cover the pan with aluminum foil and place it in the oven for about an hour at a temperature of 200 degrees.

It may take longer to bake the bacon. This depends on its quality, the amount of meat on it and the oven itself.

When the pieces are ready, remove the coating and let the bacon bake for another 10-15 minutes, the surface should be slightly reddened.

Serve the dish with black bread, mustard and adjika sauce . You can also garnish with pickles.
