How To Cook Baked Corn In Japanese - Recipe

Required products :

  • 2 cobs of corn
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon myrin / sweet rice wine /
  • 1/2 teaspoon powdered sugar
  • japanese chili powder for sprinkling / ichimi toragashi /

Method of preparation :

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees (with grill function) and cover a pan with baking paper.
  • Clean the royal cobs and divide them in two.
  • Put them in a saucepan of boiling water and cook for 4-5 minutes.
  • Drain the corn and set aside.
  • Melt the butter in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the soy sauce, rice wine and powdered sugar. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  • Put the corn in the pan and cook it for a few minutes, turning it to cover well with the mixture.
  • Transfer to a pan and bake evenly on all sides.
  • Sprinkle with chili and serve.
