Required products :

8 medium-sized potatoes (total weight about 800-900 grams)
1 onion

yellow cheese for sprinkling
salt, pepper , green spices (dill, parsley, etc.) to taste
thyme to taste

Method of preparation :

Turn on the oven to preheat to 200 degrees.

Pour water into a saucepan, add salt and place on the stove to boil. Peel the potatoes and cut them. Put them in boiling water for 5 minutes.

Meanwhile, chop the onion, pepper - cut into small cubes.

Add onion, egg, breadcrumbs and tomato paste to the minced meat. Mix well and season to taste.

Grease a pan with oil and combine the minced meat and potatoes in it.

Sprinkle everything with grated yellow cheese and bake the dish in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes.

It resembles the classic moussaka, but with a yellow cheese coating it turns out even tastier, and the thyme perfectly complements the other products.
