This dish is traditional for Valencia, even the locals say that there is more famous than Paella. If you are a fan of dishes with many types of meat and spicy flavors, after trying this rice with sausages and bacon, it will be regularly present at your table.

Required products :

For 4 servings

  • 750 ml broth - chicken, beef or pork of your choice
  • 1 gram of saffron
  • 1 tomato - halved
  • 1 head of garlic, unpeeled, divided into two parts
  • 300 grams of bacon
  • 1 small potato, cut into cubes (1-2 cm)
  • 4 pcs. sausages
  • 2 pcs. bloody sausages Morchila
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tomato - grated
  • 350 grams of rice for paella
  • 150 grams of canned chickpeas (drained)
  • left
  • olive oil

Method of preparation :

Bring the broth to a boil along with the saffron. Bring to the boil while you prepare the remaining products.

In a deep frying pan, heat a little olive oil and fry the garlic and tomato halves until golden. Set them aside.

Cut the sausages and bacon into cubes and fry in the same pan. After 15 minutes, the meat should be golden. Add the smoked pepper, bay leaf, grated tomato and salt to taste. Allow to simmer briefly, stirring occasionally. Add the rice and mix well again. Reduce heat to medium and cook for another 2 minutes.

Pour the broth together with the chickpeas into the pan and stir so that the rice and meat cover the entire bottom of the pan. Place the tomato and garlic pieces on top. Let it cook for 10 minutes, then transfer to a preheated oven for another 10 minutes until your dish is baked.

Once the rice is ready, leave it for 3-4 minutes before serving. Serve in the dish in which you prepared the dish.
