How To Cook Baked Sarmi From Goat Cheese With Tomatoes And Olives - Recipe

Required products :

  • 400 grams of soft goat cheese
  • 6 marinated vine leaves
  • a few large tomatoes
  • 100 grams of pitted green olives
  • 4 teaspoons fresh thyme leaves
  • 2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 6 tablespoons olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste

 

Method of preparation :

Mash the cheese with a fork, add to it 2 tablespoons of olive oil, thyme and freshly ground black pepper. Stir and divide the mixture into 12 parts.

Wash the vine leaves from the marinade and dry them. Divide them in half. In the middle of each (on the matte side) put the flavored cheese, roll up, forming sarmi. Put in a suitable container with the "seam" down. Coat them with a little olive oil and put in the fridge for an hour.

Beat the remaining olive oil with vinegar and mustard, season with salt and pepper.

Wash the tomatoes, cut them into circles and arrange in a tray or other suitable dish, pour the resulting sauce.

Grill the sauerkraut for about 2 minutes on each side and place on top of the tomatoes.

Cut the olives into circles and decorate the dish.
