Required products :
6 tea cups flour
8 eggs
10 tablespoons fresh milk
4 tablespoons melted butter for the dough + 200 grams for the filling
extinguished soda on the tip of a knife
300 grams of walnuts
1 teaspoon sugar
1 egg yolk
300 grams of honey
Method of preparation :
Beat the eggs in a suitable bowl, add the warm milk, melted butter, baking soda and flour. Knead the dough. Divide it into 6-8 parts, which you shape into balls. Leave for a while until they rise, during which time make the filling. Roast the walnuts in a dry pan until you get a pleasant aroma of roasted nuts. Once cooled, grind with a blender. Mix them with the sugar.
Roll out one "ball" of dough in the form of a thin circle with dimensions slightly larger than those of the pan you have prepared for baking.
Grease the bottom of the pan with butter, place the dough so that its edges cover the walls of the dish, grease it with oil and sprinkle with a mixture of sugar and walnuts. Roll out the next layer with the diameter of the tray. Put it on the first one, grease with oil, then stuffing. Do the same with the rest of the dough.
If you have not managed to cover the first sheet of dough to cover the walls of the pan, do not worry, just glue the edges of each subsequent layer with the bottom. The goal is to keep the stuffing out, because the sugar will burn.
When you put the last layer, pinch all the exposed edges (if any) and cut the baklava into diamonds, cutting all the layers except the bottom.
Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Coat the surface of the baklava with the yolk, beaten with a little water and you can use the moment to "stick" on each piece of half or a whole walnut. Melt the butter and distribute it in the slices of the dessert. Put the baklava in the oven for 15-20 minutes, remove, put butter again and return to bake for another 15-20 minutes.
Melt the honey, remove the baklava, pour it over it and let it bake until ready (about 30-40 minutes). Cover the finished cake with a suitable tray or other wide dish, turn. Half of the hot honey and butter will spread on your hands, on the table and everywhere :), so choose a container that has an edge to prevent this moment. Collect the leak. Then press another bowl to the bottom of the baklava and turn it over again. Cut into pieces according to the outline, but hurry, because the honey in the cuts will cool down and the shapes will fall apart. Arrange them in a suitable plate without touching them and wait for them to cool.
Enjoy your meal!
