Required products :

for bread:

  • 1 cup butter, soft
  • 1/4 cup white miso
  • 2 cups light brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 and 1/4 cups flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 5 sliced ​​bananas, medium large

for the glaze:

  • 1 and 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 and 1/2 tablespoons orange juice (or lime juice)

Method of preparation :

Preheat oven to 180 degrees.

Beat the butter and miso with a mixer until creamy, then pour in the brown sugar and continue beating until fluffy. Add the vanilla extract and eggs one at a time, beating constantly.

In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and nutmeg. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter while beating constantly with a mixer on low speed. Pour the bananas and homogenize.

Divide the resulting dough into 2 lightly greased rectangular loaves of bread measuring 20 x 10 cm, not filling to the top. Bake the bread for about 1 hour or until done, then remove from the oven and allow to cool.

Mix the powdered sugar with the orange juice in a bowl until homogenous. Decorate the bread with this mixture and cut it into slices.
