Learn how to cook "Banana cake with walnuts and caramel sauce". Delicious recipe.

Required products :

2/3 tea cup sugar

1/3 tea cup melted butter

1 large egg

2/3 teaspoon banana puree (1 - 2 sliced banana)

1/3 tea cup of yogurt

1 2/3 tea cups flour

2/3 teaspoon leavening agent

2/3 tea cup chopped walnuts

2 tablespoons poppy seeds - optional

vanilla

For the caramel sauce:

1 teaspoon sugar

5 tablespoons water

50 grams of butter

50 - 80 milliliters of liquid cream with a fat content of 33%

pinch of sea salt

Method of preparation :

For this recipe it is best to use very well ripened bananas, even with almost blackened peel, they are the most fragrant.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, grease a suitable form with oil (or cover the bottom with baking paper).

Pour the flour into a bowl, add the baking powder, poppy seeds, vanilla (or vanilla sugar). In a separate bowl, lightly beat the egg with the sugar, butter, banana puree and yoghurt using a wire whisk. Add the dry mixture, stir, add the walnuts.

Pour the dough into the prepared form and bake in the oven for 45-50 minutes. Check readiness with a toothpick. When the cake is baked, take it out to cool on a wire rack.

Make caramel. Mix the water and sugar in a thick-bottomed saucepan and place on the hob. Let it caramelize. It is good not to stir with a spoon, but to shake the dish so that the sugar does not crystallize. Pour the warmed cream and melted butter, mix well, put a pinch of sea salt.

Drizzle the cake with the still warm caramel. You can serve the sauce separately.

Enjoy your meal!
