Necessary products :
200 grams of soft butter

  • 2 large well-ripened bananas
  • 250 grams of brown sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 250 grams of self-swelling flour
  • 100 grams of yogurt
  • 100 grams of chopped dark chocolate
  • 100 grams of caramel sauce
  • banana chips per serving

Method of preparation :

Grease a 20 by 30 cm pan with oil and place a sheet of baking paper on top.

Mash the bananas with a fork, then add the butter and sugar. Mix with an electric mixer until you get a uniform consistency.

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing each well before adding the next. Use a spatula to mix the flour, milk and chocolate pieces into the mixture.

Transfer the resulting liquid dough to the prepared pan and smooth. Bake for 30 minutes until it swells and the pastry turns golden (try with a stick if the loaf is baked).

Wait 10 minutes to cool in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack and allow the cake to cool completely.

Cut the cake into 12 rectangular pieces, and on each put a spoonful of caramel sauce and a slice of banana chips, if using.

The cake can be stored for up to 5 days, and in the freezer, without topping, for up to a month.
