Required products :

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 6 bananas
  • 8 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • vanilla ice cream for serving

 

Method of preparation :

Cut the puff pastry into the shape of a baking tray with a diameter of 20 centimeters.

 

Punch it with a fork and set aside.

Cut 2 of the bananas in half, and peel the other 4 and keep whole.

Heat a pan over medium heat and put the butter in it. When melted, add the sugar. Once it dissolves and the mixture acquires a pleasant caramel color (after about 5 minutes), season with cinnamon and vanilla. Stir to combine.

Arrange the bananas in a bowl and place on the hob for about 2 minutes. Turn them over to caramelize on both sides, remove from the heat.

 

Grease the baking dish with oil. Arrange the bananas in a circle and pour the remaining caramel into the pan.

Cover the bananas with puff pastry sheets and press it lightly at the edges.

Bake at 190 degrees in a preheated oven for 30 minutes until the dough is golden and swollen.

Leave the finished tart to cool for 30 minutes. Turn into a plateau and cut. Serve with a ball of vanilla ice cream.
