Required products :

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 large diced carrot
  • 1 stalk of celery, chopped
  • 250 grams of minced beef
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 4 teaspoons beef broth
  • canned 800 grams of tomatoes
  • 1 can of 400 grams of beans
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Method of preparation :

Fry onions, carrots and celery in olive oil until vegetables are soft, season. Increase the heat and add the beef and garlic. Stir and grind the mixture, after about 6-7 minutes the meat should be cooked. Add the tomato paste, broth, canned tomatoes, beans (drained from the liquid) and bay leaf.

Reduce heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes until the liquid in the pan is reduced by half.

Remove the bay leaf from the dish, season with salt and pepper to taste and serve, sprinkling Parmesan with each serving.
