Required products :

400 grams of potatoes
300 grams of onions
2 carrots
2 tablespoons sweet red pepper
1 kg of pork
500 - 600 grams of canned white beans
2 bay leaves
150 milliliters of oil
2.5 tablespoons of vegetable seasoning
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
500 grams of smoked pork ribs
1 tablespoon dried cumin
7 cloves garlic
salt to taste

For the dough:

100 grams of flour
1 egg
pinch of salt

Method of preparation :

Peel an onion, cut it into cubes.

Cut the meat and ribs into large pieces.

In a large bowl, heat the oil, pour in the onion with a pinch of salt and fry over high heat until golden, stirring. Add the meat, fry until browned.

Then add the smoked ribs, bay leaves, red pepper and cumin. Stir.

Pour enough water to cover the meat. Close the container with a lid and let everything simmer for an hour. Stir periodically and add a little more water if necessary.

Peel the carrots, potatoes and garlic cloves. Cut the carrots and potatoes into medium pieces and pour them into the bowl with the other products, after the above time (1 hour) has elapsed.

Add water by filling the pot almost to the brim (leaving about 2-3 free centimeters to the edge).

Once the water boils, let the dish boil for 20 minutes. Add the vegetable seasoning, salt and ground black pepper.

It's time to prepare the gnocchi dough. To do this, mix the egg and flour, add a pinch of salt. You may need to use more or less flour than the specified amount - it depends on the size of the egg.

You should get a firm dough, so consider at the moment how much flour is needed.

Then chop it into very small pieces (as much as rice), sprinkling your hands with flour.

Add the pasta to the dish and let it cook for another 20 minutes.

Finally, pour the canned beans, crushed garlic cloves, bring to a boil and remove from the heat.

You can leave for an hour or two before serving to absorb all the flavors and aromas.

Enjoy your meal!
