Required products :

1 kg of beef (from ham)

500 milliliters of dark beer

150 milliliters of beef broth

2 large onions

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

2 tablespoons sweet red pepper

1 - 2 cloves grated garlic

1 tablespoon red wine vinegar

2 teaspoons sugar

1 tablespoon flour

1 teaspoon thyme

2 bay leaves

salt and pepper to taste

 

Method of preparation :

Cut the meat into cubes and fry it in oil. Then take the beef out of the pan, reduce the heat and put the sliced ​​onion, grated garlic and sugar in the fat. Let everything fry for a few minutes, stirring.

Then add the flour, fry for another minute and gradually pour the broth and beer. Allow the sauce to cook until thickened. Stir.

When ready, add the meat, vinegar, thyme, red pepper, bay leaves, salt and pepper. Close the pot with a lid and let the dish simmer on low heat until ready (about 2 - 2.5 hours).

Remove the bay leaves from the sauce, you can use spices of your choice and taste.

Serve the beef hot.
