How To Cook Beef Steak With Rice Noodles In Thai - Recipe

Required products :

  • 2 and 1/2 cups green cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon beehive salt
  • 230 grams of rice noodles
  • 340 grams of beef steak, cut into thin slices
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons curry paste
  • 1 can of coconut milk
  • 4 slices of lime (optional)

Method of preparation :

In a large bowl, mix the cabbage, 1 teaspoon of lime juice, 1/2 teaspoon of sugar and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. Set aside for 15 minutes.

Cook the rice noodles according to the instructions on the package. Drain in a colander under running cold water and set aside.

Season the beef steak with 1/2 teaspoon of sugar. Heat olive oil in a large pan over high heat and fry the beef pieces until browned, then transfer to a plate.

Pour in the same pan 1/2 cup water, curry paste and coconut milk, stir and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for another 5 minutes. Add the remaining 2 teaspoons of lime juice, 1 teaspoon of sugar and 1/2 teaspoon of salt and stir.

Serve the cooked rice noodles in 4 bowls, garnish with about 1/2 cup of the broth in each bowl and 1/2 cup of the cabbage salad. Season with salt if desired and serve with slices of lime.
