Fry the chopped onion in oil and add the tomatoes, cut into pieces (peel their skins beforehand). Leave on medium heat under a lid.
When the tomatoes soften nicely, remove the lid, increase the temperature of the hob. The mixture should look like the next picture.
Then transfer it to the bowl of a food processor / blender, season, add the garlic and grind.
Cut a piece of bread into slices about 3 centimeters thick (not thinner), dip them in fresh milk, drain lightly and arrange several of them in a form (to cover the bottom tightly).
Apply the tomato puree on top, but first separate 3-4 tablespoons of it.
Sprinkle with half of the pre-grated yellow cheese.
Next are slices dipped in milk, but their thickness should be about 1.5 centimeters.
The rest of the cheese. And finish with the set amount of tomato sauce.
Beat the eggs for a minute with a little fresh milk (about 50 milliliters) and pour the products into the pan with the resulting mixture.
Bake the dish at 170 degrees, and the time is 45-55 minutes and depends on the oven itself.
The casserole should turn red.
Serve when cool.
