Required products :

  • 500 grams of old bread
  • 200 milliliters of fresh milk
  • 1 onion
  • 100 grams of bacon
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons parsley
  • salt, nutmeg, black pepper


Method of preparation :

Cut the bread into cubes with a side of 1 cm, pour milk over them for 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, chop the onion, fry it for 7 minutes in butter, add the chopped parsley, stir and remove the pan from the heat.

Beat the two eggs with spices to taste, cut the bacon into cubes, pour over the onion with parsley, add the bread and mix until smooth.

The dough should be thick. If very liquid, add sifted flour.

Bring about 2 liters of water to a boil, add salt. With wet hands, make small balls of dough and put them in the boiling liquid. Cook them on low heat for 20 minutes.

Serve as a side dish to meat dishes with sauce.
