There is nothing tastier than warm homemade bread with a crispy crust ... A special advantage is that you can add more flavors and even color, as in this case - beets and bacon! You only need a little butter to have the perfect breakfast.

Method of preparation :
Mix the yeast with the water and sugar. Allow to swell for 5-10 minutes.
Put the flour in a large bowl, make a well in the center and put the salt, sage and olive oil there. Pour the water with the yeast, add the puree and knead for about 10 minutes (if you have a suitable appliance that can save you kneading, use it by halving the kneading time).
Leave to rise under a towel for at least an hour until it doubles in volume.
While the bread is rising, fry the finely chopped bacon and cool.
Place the dough on a floured surface and roll it into a rectangle. Sprinkle with bacon and roll.
Transfer to a suitable pan and leave to rise for 20 minutes.
During this time, turn on the oven to preheat to 220 degrees.
Bake the bread for 25 minutes, check that it is ready by lightly tapping on the bottom. If a hollow sound is heard, it is ideal, otherwise you can bake for a few more minutes.
