How To Cook Breaded Camembert Cheese With Orange Sauce - Recipe

Learn how to cook "Breaded Camembert cheese with orange sauce". Delicious recipe.

When you feel like making a quick and tasty addition to a bottle of wine, make yourself an appetizer of Camembert cheese with a sauce of your choice. Camembert is a soft cheese covered with a special moldy crust. Roasted or fried is many times tastier than raw. The inside melts into the shell.

Required products :

2 pieces (pies) of Camembert cheese

1 egg and breadcrumbs for breading

For the sauce:

1 teaspoon freshly squeezed orange juice

1 tablespoon grated orange peel

3 tablespoons brown sugar

3 tablespoons butter

pinch of salt

Method of preparation :

Start with the sauce. Mix in a small saucepan all the products listed to make it. Place the pan on the stove, let the mixture boil, reduce the temperature and cook over low heat until the amount is halved or to the desired density (about 15 - 20 minutes). Strain the sauce and let it cool.

Cut the pies in half. Dip the incision in the egg, then in the breadcrumbs and repeat the procedure once more. The cut should be well covered with breadcrumbs and not visible.

Pour about 0.5 cm of fat into a pan, heat it and fry the cheese in it until golden, placing it with the cut part down. Then turn to the other side and fry for a few more minutes. The cheese should be lightly fried and swollen, but be careful not to burst.

Drizzle the appetizer with orange sauce and serve.

Enjoy your meal!
