Required products :

  • 3 heads of old onions
  • 1 teaspoon flour
  • 20 milliliters of oil
  • 250 grams of yogurt
  • 2 eggs
  • 100 grams of potato chips
  • black and cayenne pepper, salt


Method of preparation :

Turn the oven to 200 degrees.

In a large bowl, mix 1/4 cup flour with a full teaspoon of salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper and the same amount of cayenne.

In another bowl, combine the yogurt with the eggs, 1/2 cup + 2 more tablespoons of flour. Mix the dough well, it should be homogeneous.

Crush the potato chips, peel the onion heads and cut into circles about a centimeter thick.

Cover a tray with parchment, grease the paper and place the dish in the hot oven for 8 minutes (or until the fat starts to "squeak").

Then roll the onion rings in the flour with the spices, then dip in the liquid dough and let the excess drain.

Roll in the crushed potato chips and arrange in the pan.

Bake until golden on both sides (about 8 minutes each).

Sprinkle the circles with salt while still hot. Serve with a sauce of your choice (this can be plain yogurt with your favorite spices).
