Learn how to cook "Breaded potato bites with cheese and green onions". Delicious recipe.

Required products :

  • 720 grams of mashed potatoes
  • 80 grams of cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped dill
  • 1 tablespoon chopped green onions
  • 1/2 teaspoon flour
  • vegetable fat for frying

About the breading:

  • a little flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/4 tea cup bread crumbs or breadcrumbs

Method of preparation :

Add the flour, cheese, onion and dill to the mashed potatoes. Season to taste with ground black pepper and salt (note that the cheese is salty). Mix the products thoroughly so that no lumps remain in the mixture.

The consistency should be a little dry, but keep its shape. Leave the puree to stand for a while, during which prepare the products for the breading.

Form medium-sized balls of mashed potatoes with cheese (from this amount of mixture are obtained about 20-25 pieces).

Arrange them on a board and sprinkle with flour, then dip each in beaten eggs and roll in breadcrumbs.

Fry them for about 3 minutes in very hot vegetable oil or until they acquire a deep golden color.

A healthy alternative is to bake the bites in the oven for about 10 minutes at a temperature of 200 degrees.

If you decide to fry, remove the finished croquettes on paper, which will absorb excess fat.

The appetizer is served hot with your favorite sauce. Fresh vegetables and lettuce leaves are also suitable additions.

Enjoy your meal!
