Required products :

  • 1/2 cup black beluga lentils
  • 1/2 teaspoon bulgur
  • 1 onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • olive oil for frying
  • salt to taste

 

Method of preparation :

Wash the lentils, fill them with water and bring to a boil for 20 minutes. Use more water so that it can stay, as you will need it later in the preparation of the dish.

While the lentils are cooking, wash the bulgur, drain the water with a colander.

Squeeze the finished lentils as well, but keep 1/2 cup of the black liquid that was obtained during cooking.

Finely chop the onion and fry it in a little olive oil, add a pinch of salt (or a pinch of sugar if you prefer). Fry until crispy brown edges form.

Then mix all the products in the pan with onions, add cinnamon and salt to taste, stir, pour the black broth, close the pan with a lid and let the dish simmer for 10 minutes until the liquid evaporates.

Arrange in suitable plates, garnish with pieces of fresh cucumber, for example, and serve.
