Required products :

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 kg of chicken legs cut into small pieces
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 5 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons ginger root, peeled and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons garam masala
  • 1/4 cup canned tomato paste
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup whipped cream
  • 1/4 cup fresh coriander leaves

* A tea cup is used to measure the quantities.

Method of preparation :

Grease a slow cooker (if using).

Heat the butter and olive oil in a pan and fry the chicken until browned. Using a slotted spoon, transfer the meat to the slow cooker or set aside in a bowl if you do not have an appliance.

In the same fat in which you fried the chicken, fry the onion until soft. Pour the garlic, ginger and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Season the masala with garam and cook, stirring, for 30 seconds. Add the chicken broth, reduce the heat, add the chicken and whipped cream and simmer until done.

If you use a slow cooker, transfer the mixture to it, cover and cook on low heat until ready (about 5-6 hours). Add the whipped cream 30 minutes after the start of cooking in the appliance.

Serve on a plate and garnish with fresh coriander leaves. If desired, you can add a garnish of cooked rice.

Enjoy your meal!
