How To Cook Butter Cookies With Pistachios And Orange - Recipe

Required products :

  • 1 teaspoon unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons flour
  • 1 1/3 tea cups pistachios, finely chopped
  • peel of 1 orange, finely grated

Method of preparation :

  • In a large bowl, beat the butter and powdered sugar with a mixer until fluffy cream.
  • Add the vanilla extract and egg yolk and beat until smooth.
  • Add the flour, chopped pistachios and orange peel and knead the dough with your palms.
  • Cover and refrigerate for a minimum of 2 hours.
  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and cover the bottom of two pans with baking paper.
  • Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface and use molds to cut the sweets.
  • Spread in trays and bake for 15-20 minutes until the edges turn golden.
  • Sprinkle the orange buttermilk with powdered sugar while warm and allow to cool completely on a wire rack.
