Required products :

  • 500 grams of puff pastry
  • 8 fine slices of prosciutto
  • 500 grams of ricotta
  • 2 handfuls of arugula
  • 10 fresh basil leaves
  • 100 grams of grated mozzarella
  • 1 piece of yolk
  • 1 tablespoon fresh milk

Method of preparation :

The puff pastry is thawed in case it is frozen. It is spread on a lightly floured surface. Fine slices of prosciutto are spread on it, starting from the edges. Add the grated ricotta.

Spread arugula and basil leave on the cheese. Sprinkle with grated mozzarella, spreading well over the rest of the puff pastry. It is rolled into a tight roll and cut into pieces with a lightly floured, sharp knife. Carefully arrange the resulting rolls on a baking tray lined with baking paper. The yolk and milk are mixed until homogeneous. With the resulting mixture, we glaze the rolls. We need to preheat the oven to 200 degrees, then bake for 30 minutes, until golden brown.

The good thing about these rolls is that they can be consumed both hot and cold.
