How To Cook Buttercakes With Sour Cream - Recipe

Required products :

  • 2 3/4 tea cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda and salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons crystal sugar
  • 1 teaspoon butter (at room temperature)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon extract
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar for sprinkling
  • 1/4 tea cup crushed walnuts

Method of preparation :

Mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and nutmeg. Sift the products into a large bowl.

Beat the butter and sugar together with a mixer until creamy and the sugar dissolves. Add the eggs one at a time, stirring well after each to mix the products. Finally, add the lemon extract.

Start adding the flour and stir until the products are combined.

Form balls of the mixture by scooping 1 tablespoon of the dough. Spread on a tray lined with paper some distance from the cookies.

Bake in a preheated oven at 190 degrees for 4 minutes, then sprinkle with sugar and walnuts (optionally add raisins). Continue baking for another 3-4 minutes until the cakes start to turn slightly pink.

Cool completely before eating.
