How To Cook Cake With Caramel Honeycomb - Recipe

Required products :

  • 125 grams of butter (at room temperature)
  • 100 grams of sugar
  • 125 milliliters of fresh milk
  • 2 bananas
  • 2 eggs
  • 300 grams of self-swelling flour
  • 130 grams of caramel honeycomb
  • 125 grams of white chocolate
  • 500 grams of Philadelphia cheese
  • 60 grams of powdered sugar
  • caramel sauce

Method of preparation :

Preheat oven to 180 degrees (or 160 with a fan).

Line the bottom and walls of a 20 cm form with a falling bottom with baking paper. (First, cut a circle out of the paper with the diameter of the bottom of the form. For the walls, use a long rectangular piece as wide as the height of the walls and a little longer than the diameter of the tray.)

In a saucepan, mix the sugar, butter and milk and heat over medium heat. Stir for 3 minutes until all crystals dissolve. Set aside to cool.

Mash the bananas and mix them with the eggs, then pour them into the butter mixture and stir. Add the sifted flour. Finely crush the caramel honeycomb and add it to the dough, mix well and bake in the pan for 45 minutes until dry. Allow to cool in the mold for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack until completely cooled.

Melt the chocolate in the microwave or in a water bath. Take a piece of foil for wrapping with bubbles (air foil) and cut a square measuring 15 by 15 centimeters. Pour the chocolate over it and leave to cool in the fridge for 15 minutes. Carefully peel the chocolate from the nylon and break or cut into the shape you want.

To make the cream, place the Philadelphia cheese and powdered sugar in a large bowl. Beat with a mixer until well combined.

Cut the marsh into 2 equal pieces horizontally. Assemble the cake by spreading half the cream between the two marshes. Cover the top with the rest of the cream and garnish with the broken pieces of chocolate and some of the caramel honeycomb . Drizzle with a few trickles of caramel sauce.
