Required products :

  • 20 figs
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 cup sliced ​​almonds
  • 1 teaspoon anise seeds
  • 1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
  • 1 vanilla pod
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 teaspoon cream
  • 3/4 tea cup of fresh milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 6 tablespoons flour
  • 1 tablespoon brandy

Method of preparation :

Preheat oven to 200 degrees.

Grease a 22 cm pan with oil.

Cut the figs into quarters.

Bake the almonds for 6-8 minutes in a dry pan until browned and golden.

Cut the vanilla pod lengthwise, grate the seeds and place them in a small bowl.

Roast the aniseed seeds until they release their aroma, then cool them.

Put the butter, honey, half of the vanilla, the vanilla pod in the pan and mix well. After the butter heats up, add the figs and cook for about 2-3 minutes until they soften and roll the whole in butter and honey.

Pour the figs into the prepared pan and spread them on the bottom.

Remove the vanilla pod and sprinkle with almonds.

Beat the eggs until foamy, add the remaining vanilla, lemon zest, sugar, cream, milk and alcohol. Add the flour and mix. Leave the dough to stand for 15 minutes.

Pour it over the fruit and bake for 30-40 minutes.

Cool the cake to room temperature before serving. Serve with ice cream or cream.
