Required products :

1 kg of onions
400 grams of tomatoes
50 milliliters of
dill oil and salt to taste

 

Method of preparation :


Steam the tomatoes, peel them and cut into pieces.
Peel an onion, cut half of it into circles about 5 millimeters thick and fry in oil until golden. Finely chop the remaining amount, scald with boiling water and grind (you can use a blender or meat grinder).
In an enamel bowl, mix the scalded and fried onions, tomatoes, salt to taste, pour the oil and mix everything.
Place on the hob and let the mixture boil until it thickens and becomes homogeneous, stirring. The time required is approximately half an hour.
Two minutes before removing the vegetable combination from the heat, add the chopped dill and stir.
Distribute in jars and sterilize: containers with a volume of 0.5 liters - 40 minutes, 1.0 liter - 50 minutes.
