Required products :

  • 1/2 cup rice (round grain)
  • 250 grams of sweet peppers
  • 250 grams of onions
  • 250 grams of carrots
  • 500 milliliters of tomato juice (or ground tomatoes)
  • 40 grams of sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoon salt
  • 25 milliliters of vinegar 9%
  • 125 milliliters of oil


Method of preparation :

Clean the vegetables from unnecessary parts, wash them. Cut onions and peppers into small pieces, grate carrots.

 

Pour boiling water over the rice and after 15 minutes rinse it with cold water.

 

Pour the tomato juice into a saucepan, place on the stove. Once it boils, add the chopped vegetables and stir.

 

Then pour the oil, add salt and sugar. Wait for the mixture to boil.

  

When this happens, add the rice, stir, bring to a boil again and close the pan with a lid.

 

Let the combination simmer on low heat for an hour.

 

Finally, pour the vinegar and stir.

Distribute the rice with the vegetables in jars.

  

Close them.

 

The can is ready. Store in a cool place.
