Necessary products

For the dough:

  • 300 grams of flour
  • 160 grams of butter
  • 1 tablespoon liquid cream
  • 1 egg
  • pinch of salt
  • 130 grams of sugar

For the stuffing:

  • 20 tablespoons sugar
  • 200 ml high-fat cream (liquid)
  • 20-30 grams of almonds
  • 300 grams of walnuts
  • 1.5 tablespoons honey

 

Method of preparation :

Sift the flour with a pinch of salt in it, add the sugar and diced cold butter. Grind the products with your hands to get crumbs, or use a mixer for this purpose. Beat the egg into the dough and pour 1 tablespoon of liquid cream.

Do not knead, but shape into a ball, which you wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 40-50 minutes.

Make the filling. To do this, pour the sugar into a saucepan and place on the stove. Wait until the crystals begin to melt and acquire a caramel hue. Then pour in a thin stream of high-fat cream, stirring vigorously and constantly. Cook over medium heat for 5-8 minutes.

Then pour all the nuts into the mixture, stir, add honey and remove the pan from the heat. Stir again and let the delicious combination cool a bit.

Divide the dough into two parts, one larger than the other.

Roll it out and place in a suitable pan in which to bake the cake (it is best to use a detachable cake tin).

Cover the walls of the pan with the smaller part of the dough and connect with the base, pressing in the appropriate places.

Spread all the filling on the base, flatten the layer and place in the oven. Turn the appliance on at 180 degrees and after 50-55 minutes the cake will be ready.

When it is ready, take it out of the mold immediately, because the currently liquid caramel will harden when it cools down and stick to the dish. This will make it difficult to remove the dessert from it.
