Necessary products:

 

  • 400 grams of cooked chickpeas
  • 200 grams of grated carrots
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 egg
  • juice and peel of one lemon
  • 1 teaspoon tabasco sauce
  • 60 grams of flour
  • salt, pepper, cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • a few sprigs of fresh coriander
  • 150 grams of punk breadcrumbs
  • 150 grams of coarsely ground breadcrumbs
  • frying fat

 

Method of preparation:

 

In a blender, add the chickpeas, carrots, garlic, egg, lemon juice and zest, tabasco sauce, flour, salt, pepper and cumin. Add the coriander and beat the mixture until smooth.

 

Pour the panko breadcrumbs into a bowl, add the vegetable mixture and mix until smooth.

 

Form balls, roll them in coarsely ground breadcrumbs and fry in hot fat.

 

Drain, arrange on a plate, garnish with lemon and serve warm falafels.
