Required products (for 8 servings) :
180 grams of baguette, diced
2 teaspoons grated yellow cheese
10 eggs, beaten with a fork
400 milliliters of milk
1 teaspoon mustard powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
freshly ground black pepper to taste
8 strips of bacon, baked to a crispy
1/2 tea cup chopped mushrooms
1/2 tea cup chopped tomatoes (optional)
Method of preparation :
Grease a pan and cover the whole bottom with the baguette cubes. Sprinkle with grated yellow cheese.
In a bowl, mix the beaten eggs with the milk, add the mustard, salt, onion powder and pepper to taste.
Spread the mixture evenly over the cheese and arrange the crispy pieces of bacon, mushrooms and sliced tomatoes if you prefer.
Bake the dish in a preheated 180 degree oven for about an hour or until golden brown. You can cover with foil so as not to burn the surface.
