How To Cook Casserole With Potatoes, Minced Meat And Tomatoes - Recipe

Required products :

  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 onion (finely chopped)
  • 500 grams of minced beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder and paprika
  • 400 grams of chopped canned tomatoes
  • 250 teaspoons fresh spinach
  • 5 potatoes
  • 13 slices of ripe mozzarella
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley per serving

Method of preparation :

Preheat oven to 180 degrees.

Meanwhile, in a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat and fry the onions until golden - about 5 minutes. Add the minced meat and mix with a wooden spatula to crush it. Add black and red pepper, salt, tomatoes and mix well.

Add the spinach and after 2 minutes remove the pan from the heat.

Cut the potatoes into thin circles 3 millimeters thick.

 

Take a small rectangular loaf pan (measuring 13 by 23 cm).

Arrange the potatoes on the bottom, overlapping them slightly. Make a row along the walls of the dish (between the minced meat and the pan).

 

Put 2 slices of mozzarella on the bottom of the potatoes, cut in half 5 of the other slices of cheese and arrange them on the walls. Pour 1/3 of the stuffing with minced meat and arrange 1 more layer of potatoes, then add 2 more slices of mozzarella.

Followed by minced meat, potatoes and again 2 pieces of mozzarella and so on once again.

 

Put more sliced ​​potatoes along the walls of the dish and cover the last layer of cheese with another row.

 

Bake for 90 minutes until the potatoes are browned. Allow the casserole to cool in the form before turning and slicing.
