How To Cook Casserole With Smoked Sausage And Cornmeal - Recipe

Required products :

  • 700 grams of smoked sausage
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cornmeal
  • 300 grams of cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup fresh milk
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 eggs, broken

Method of preparation :

Fry the sausage (cut into cubes) for 7-10 minutes until browned. Drain on paper.

Heat 4 1/2 teaspoons of water on a hot plate to bring to a boil. Add cornmeal and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the spices. Remove from the heat, put the cheddar in the hot semolina to melt. Add the milk, spices and eggs. Put the sausage inside, stir.

Transfer the mixture to a rectangular ceramic pan.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 1 hour until it acquires an appetizing golden crust.
