Required products :

  • 2 kg of boiled potatoes
  • 200 grams of grated mozzarella
  • 120 grams of cream cheese
  • 450 grams of bacon (fried until crispy)
  • 1 bunch green onions - finely chopped
  • 1/2 tablespoon salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 500 grams of ham, cut into thin slices
  • 450 grams of cheddar, cut into 2 cm cubes
  • frying oil
  • 2 teaspoons flour
  • 8 eggs
  • 4 cups Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 tea parmesan for sprinkling
  • 2 tablespoons parsley to sprinkle

Method of preparation :

Put the sliced boiled potatoes in a large bowl and mash them with a fork. Add the grated cheddar, cream cheese, bacon (finely chopped), green onions, salt and pepper, garlic powder.

Stir well.

Transfer them to a large rectangular tray lined with baking paper. Level the mixture with a spatula.

Put a piece of cheddar in each slice of ham and fold the ham over the cheese to make a small cube.

Press the resulting cube into the potato mixture, but be careful not to take the piece out on the other side, the goal is to wrap the whole in the mixture. Do this with all the pieces of ham and cheddar.

Once you have arranged them in the pan, cover the pieces of sausage with the potato mixture using your fingers. Smooth the mixture again with a spatula.

Freeze for 30 minutes, then cut into squares so that the cubes of ham and cheese remain in the middle of each piece.

Bread the bites in the flour, eggs, breadcrumbs and repeat in the flour and breadcrumbs.

Fry for 5-6 minutes until golden and remove on kitchen paper to drain off excess fat.

Garnish with a little grated cheddar and fresh parsley.

Serve still warm.
