Necessary products for the dough:

  • 5 raw eggs
  • 120 grams of butter
  • 350 grams of flour
  • 200 grams of kefir
  • 150 grams of cheese
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • thyme, sesame

For the stuffing:

  • 2 boiled eggs
  • 1 large (or 2 small) pepper
  • 100 grams of cheese
  • 30-50 grams of dill

Method of preparation:

Wash and dry the dill and pepper, boil the eggs for the filling, let the butter soften.

Divide raw eggs into egg whites and yolks. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt using a mixer. In a separate bowl, mix the beaten egg yolks, kefir with baking soda, softened butter, grated cheese and flour. Add salt to taste, but keep in mind that the cheese is salty. Add thyme and sesame seeds (0.5-1 tsp.). Carefully add the egg whites. The dough should be thick but not runny. You can add a little more flour to thicken if necessary.

Make the filling by mixing the cheese, boiled eggs (diced or grated), pepper (cut into strips) and finely chopped dill. Do not salt, the salinity of the cheese is sufficient.

Take muffin tins, grease them with butter and alternate: a layer of dough, a layer of filling and dough again. You can make a cake instead of using individual molds. In this case, the layers may be several, but the last must be made of dough. Sprinkle with sesame seeds on top.

Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Bake until ready (which you can check with a toothpick): if you make small rolls (cupcakes) - 20-25 minutes, for larger ones it takes about 35-40 minutes.
