How To Cook Cheesecake With Potatoes, Bacon And Cheese - Recipe

Required products :

  • 500 grams of potatoes
  • 100 grams of smoked bacon, cut into cubes
  • 1/2 green pepper, cut into cubes
  • 1/2 red pepper, cut into cubes
  • 6 eggs / with separated egg yolks /
  • 1 kg of cottage cheese
  • 80 grams of semolina
  • 120 grams of yellow cheese
  • 100 grams of cheese
  • 3 sprigs of thyme, finely chopped
  • nutmeg
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • oil

Method of preparation :

  • Boil the potatoes in boiling salted water for about 20 minutes.
  • Fry the bacon in a pan for a few minutes and transfer it to kitchen paper to drain off excess fat.
  • In the same pan, sauté the peppers for 2-3 minutes.
  • Mix the yolks, cottage cheese, semolina, bacon and half the cheese.
  • Add the peppers and thyme and season with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
  • Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt and add them to the other mixture. Stir well.
  • Puree the potatoes and mix them with the cheese.
  • In a greased round pan, pour 1/2 of the curd mixture.
  • Bake in a preheated 180 degree oven for about 15 minutes.
  • Remove the pan from the oven, add the potatoes and the remaining curd mixture on top.
  • Sprinkle with the remaining yellow cheese and bake for another 30-40 minutes.
  • Remove the potato cheesecake from the oven and allow to cool completely before serving.
