Required products :

  • 350 grams of chicken leg from the upper leg, cut
  • 1 teaspoon Italian spice mix
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1 red and green pepper, cut into strips
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2/3 tea cup of lyutenitsa
  • 4 flat loaves
  • 1/2 cup grated ripe cheddar
  • 1/4 tea cup "Sivria" pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil

Method of preparation :

Season the meat with the Italian spice mix and fry it in a pan over medium heat in olive oil for 5 minutes until browned. Add the peppers and onions. Fry them for another 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are soft. Add the lyutenitsa (you can replace it with pizza sauce) and remove from the heat.

Put the vegetables with the meat on one half of the flat braid. Sprinkle with mozzarella, fresh pepper and basil. Fold the bread in half.

Heat a grill or sandwich press. Bake the sandwich for 2-3 minutes until the cheese melts and the bread acquires appetizing golden grill lines.

Serve the sandwich warm.
