How To Cook Chicken Fillet In Milk Sauce With Lemon And Capers - Recipe

Required products :

  • 2 chicken breasts, halved
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, pressed
  • 1 teaspoon chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup fresh milk
  • 2 tablespoons capers
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice

For garnish :

  • 4 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • lemon slices

Method of preparation :

 

  • In a shallow dish, mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch, parmesan, salt and pepper. 
  • Stir and roll the chicken breasts in the mixture.
  • In a small bowl, mix the remaining 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with the lemon juice and set aside.
  • Heat the olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Fry the fillets for about 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown. Transfer them to a plate.
  • Add the garlic to the pan and saute for 1 minute.
  • Add the broth and milk, stir and wait for the mixture to boil.
  • Reduce heat and simmer for about 2-3 minutes, stirring with a spatula.
  • Add the lemon mixture and capers and cook for another 1 minute until the sauce starts to thicken.
  • Return the chicken fillet to the pan and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
  • Garnish with lemon slices and serve.
