Required products :

For the chicken :

  • 2 pieces of chicken breast / 1500 grams in total /
  • salt and pepper
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

For the sauce :

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, pressed
  • 3/4 tea cup chicken broth
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 tea cup lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste

For garnish :

  • lemon slices
  • fresh parsley, finely chopped

Method of preparation :

  • Halve each of the chicken fillets to get 4 thinner steaks.
  • Carefully thin them to a thickness of about 1 centimeter and season with salt and pepper.
  • Mix the flour with the garlic and onion powder and roll each steak in them, then shake off the excess. Save the rest of the mixture.
  • Heat the butter, olive oil and garlic in a large skillet over high heat until the butter is melted.
  • Fry the chicken fillets for about 2 minutes on each side until golden brown. Transfer the finished ones to a plate and let them rest.
  • Reduce the heat to medium and return the pan to it.
  • Add the chicken broth and heat until it boils.
  • Add the remaining ingredients, stir and let the sauce simmer for about 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste and return the chicken fillets to the pan. Use a spoon to pour the sauce over them.
  • Serve the lemon steaks with sauce, sprinkled with fresh parsley and garnished with lemon slices.
