Required products :

  • 1 chicken
  • 1/2 red hot pepper, cleaned of seeds
  • 2 onions (sweet)
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 ripe tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 1 small cinnamon stick
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 teaspoon anise and coriander seeds
  • 100 grams of dark chocolate
  • 1 juicy orange
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • salt, pepper


Method of preparation :

Cut the chicken into portions, place them in a thick-bottomed saucepan and fry in oil until a yellow crust forms on their surface.

Peel and chop the onion, garlic and tomatoes (clean the latter from the seeds), finely chop the hot pepper.

Pour the prepared products over the meat, add all the spices, close the pan with a lid and stew the chicken for about 45 minutes. Occasionally turn the pieces over.

Break the chocolate and put it in the pan with the juice squeezed from the orange. Close the pan and simmer until the chocolate melts.

Pour a little water, the sauce should not be too thick. Stew for 20 minutes.

Roast the sesame seeds and sprinkle with them the chicken, which you serve together with the chocolate sauce.
