How To Cook Chicken Roll In Puff Pastry - Recipe

Required products :

For the filling :

  • 500 grams of minced chicken
  • 1 onion
  • 3/4 teaspoon breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 tea cup grated yellow cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 tea cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 3/4 tea cup dried tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon salt

For the dough :

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten

Method of preparation :

 

  • Combine the ingredients for the filling in a bowl and knead them by hand. The minced meat should be soft and moist, not dry and crumbly.
  • Place the filling at the short end of the puff pastry and shape it.
  • Wrap the roll and transfer it to a tray covered with baking paper, leaving the edge at the bottom.
  • Make a few incisions at the top and spread with the beaten egg.
  • Bake in a preheated 180 degree oven for about 35-40 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Remove the pan, cover with foil and bake for another 15-20 minutes.
  • Allow the roll to cool slightly for 10 minutes before cutting.
  • Serve with a glass of wine and garnish of your choice.
