Necessary products:

  • 500 grams of chicken steaks
  • 1/4 teaspoon oil
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon tobacco sauce
  • 1 teaspoon flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt (or more to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 1/2 - 2 teaspoons fresh milk

Method of preparation:

Preheat the oven to 100 degrees to keep the schnitzels warm.

Knock the steaks to thin them and reach a thickness of about 1 centimeter.

Pour the fat into a pan and wait for it to heat up.

In a bowl, mix the buttermilk with the spicy sauce.

In another bowl, place the flour, seasoned with salt and pepper.

Dip the steaks in the buttermilk, then in the flour (save about 1 1/2 teaspoons of the flour).

Fry until done for about 3-4 minutes on each side. Transfer to a napkin and transfer to the oven to keep warm while you prepare the sauce.

Discard the fat from the pan, keeping only 1 1/2 tablespoons of it.

Reduce the heat and add the flour, stirring to make a mush, trying to remove any leftover meat left on the bottom of the pan. Add the milk in a thin stream, stirring constantly. Let the sauce simmer briefly to thicken. Try and season with salt and pepper.

Serve the chicken schnitzels, flights with the milk gravy sauce.
