How To Cook Chicken Soup With Turmeric, Ginger And Chickpeas - Recipe

Required products :

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 500 grams of chicken upper legs
  • 1 teaspoon chopped red sweet peppers
  • 1 teaspoon chopped onion
  • 2 teaspoons turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 4 teaspoons chicken broth
  • 2 cans of 400 grams of chickpeas
  • 1 teaspoon coconut milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh basil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Method of preparation :

Grind a little salt and pepper in the meat. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a saucepan and fry the meat for 3 minutes on each side to acquire a brown crust. Put the meat on a plate.

In the same pan, fry the onions and peppers until soft (about 5 minutes). Add turmeric, garlic, ginger, season with salt and pepper and cook for 1 minute. Pour the broth and add the chickpeas. Return the meat to the other products and simmer for 15 minutes until the chicken is ready.

Remove the meat on a kitchen board and chop it with a fork, then return to the pan.

Pour coconut milk, basil and lemon juice, cook for 5 minutes and serve.
