Probably when you read that the recipe has 40 cloves of garlic, you thought it was a typo. Well, it is not. Contrary to your expectations, garlic will give a very light and pleasant aroma to the chicken, and then you can eat the baked cloves jam with a slice of warm bread.

Required products :

  • 4 upper legs
  • salt to taste
  • pepper
  • A mixture of spices - savory, oregano, cumin
  • 3 onions
  • 40 cloves garlic - with flakes
  • 120 milliliters of dry vermouth or white wine
  • 3 sprigs of parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried tarragon
  • 180 milliliters of chicken broth

Method of preparation :

Turn the oven to preheat to 180 degrees.

Season the meat with salt, pepper and a mixture of spices.

In a saucepan that you can later put in the oven, pour enough oil to cover the bottom. Fry the meat on both sides, when golden, transfer to a plate.

Finely chop the onion and fry it in the same pan in which you cooked the chicken. Stir for about 5 minutes until soft, then add the garlic cloves. Stir to collect the residue on the bottom of the pan, and after another 2 minutes pour the wine.

When the liquid is reduced, put the legs on top. Sprinkle with tarragon and add the broth.
Cook in the oven for 20-25 minutes until the meat is tender.
Serve with vegetables and toast, if desired.

Bon Appetit!
