How To Cook Chicken With Bacon In Wine With Mushrooms, Garlic And Thyme - Recipe

Required products :

1 small whole chicken
120 grams of bacon
250 grams of small mushrooms
1 large onion
2 medium carrots
2 cloves garlic
2 tea cups dry red wine
1 teaspoon chicken broth
10 sprigs of thyme
3 bay leaves
2 tablespoons flour
olive oil
black pepper
salt

Method of preparation :

Cut the chicken into portions, put in a large bowl and pour the wine. Cover with a lid and refrigerate overnight.

Turn on the oven to preheat to 180 degrees.

To prepare the dish, use a suitable dish, which after frying the products, you can put in the oven.

When you remove the meat from the wine, store it. Dry the chicken, season to taste with ground black pepper and add salt.

Fry the bacon until crispy and remove to a plate.

With the fat that has separated, fry the chicken pieces several times. They should turn golden.

In the same bowl pour the chopped onions and carrots, fry for about 5 minutes. Then add the finely chopped garlic cloves and mushrooms. After another 5 minutes of frying, pour the flour and stir.

Return the meat and bacon to the vegetable and mushroom bowl, pour in the wine and broth. Add the thyme, bay leaves, a pinch of salt and pepper. Close the pan with a lid and place in the oven for an hour.

The dish is ready, you can serve with a garnish of mashed potatoes.
