Required products :

  • 1 kg of upper legs
  • 5 crushed garlic cloves
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika, cumin
  • 3 tablespoons harissa paste
  • the juice of 2 lemons + 1/4 tea cup of lemon juice
  • 700 grams of diced potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon yogurt
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 cup dill (fresh)
  • 1 tablespoon sumac
  • 2 stalks of leeks, cut into thin crescents
  • peel of 1 lemon

Method of preparation :

Marinate the meat: put the chicken in a large bowl and season with salt and pepper. Add the garlic, cumin, smoked pepper, harissa paste and the juice of 2 lemons. Stir well to roll all the pieces of meat, then cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to taste.

Preheat the oven to 220 degrees.

Sprinkle the potatoes on half of a large baking tray and pour olive oil over them. Season with salt, pepper and dried parsley. Arrange the flavored chicken on the other side of the pan.

Bake for 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, prepare the sauce from the yogurt seasoned with salt and pepper, fresh parsley, honey, dill and sumac, along with 1/4 tea cup of lemon juice. Stir well to combine all products and set aside.

Remove the pan from the oven, put the leeks and lemon peel on the potatoes, stir lightly. Return to the oven and bake for another 20 minutes until the dish acquires an appetizing crust.

Serve the chicken on top of the potatoes and pour over the sauce.
