Required products :

  • 3/4 cup jasmine or long grain rice
  • left
  • 4 chicken legs
  • 2 tablespoons + 1/4 teaspoon oil
  • 6 green onion stalks, cut into thin slices
  • 2.5 cm ginger root, finely chopped
  • 3 thinly sliced ​​garlic cloves
  • 2 ties kale, cut
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth

Method of preparation :

Rinse the rice by rubbing it with your hands to remove the starch. When the water is clear, drain. Put it to boil with a pinch of salt and 1 teaspoon of water. Cover and reduce the temperature, let simmer for 20 minutes. Remove from the heat and stir with a fork.

preheat the oven to 220 degrees. Season the chicken with salt.

In a fireproof cast iron skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of oil and fry the chicken with the skin on the bottom until golden brown and crispy - for about 7-9 minutes. Transfer the pan with the meat to the oven and bake for another 8-19 minutes, then turn the meat skin side up and continue baking for another 5 minutes. Transfer the meat to a wire rack with the skin on top. Save the pan (wrap the handle with paper so you don't forget it's hot).

In a saucepan, fry the onion in 1/4 tea cup of oil, add the ginger and transfer to a bowl, season with salt and leave to cool.

Fry the garlic in the pan, stirring occasionally for about 2 minutes. Add the kale leaves and after they melt, pour the broth, cook for about 3 minutes, scraping all the leftover meat from the bottom of the pan when baking.

Add the rice and continue cooking until the liquid is absorbed. Season with salt

Serve the rice in a large plate, place the chicken on top and pour the green onion sauce over it.
