Pour cold water over the chickpeas and let them stand for at least 4 hours. Then change it and boil the beans until soft (about 1.5 hours).
Drain the liquid and fry the chickpeas for 2-3 minutes (until red) in a pan with hot olive oil. Add the chopped garlic cloves, tomato paste, curry powder, ground canned tomatoes, lemon juice, salt and ground red pepper to taste. Stew for 2-3 minutes, stirring in the meantime. Then pour the broth, stir and let the dish simmer for 8-10 minutes on low heat.
Try the sauce to taste and season further if necessary. Finally, add the spinach to the pan, stir and after 2-3 minutes remove the pan from the heat.
