Required products :

  • 4 teaspoons water
  • 2 teaspoons chickpea flour
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons oil

for the sauce:

  • 2/3 tea cup yogurt (low fat)
  • 1 clove of garlic - mashed
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons finely chopped mint
  • pinch of salt (or to taste)

Method of preparation :

Put the water in a saucepan, salt it and bring to a boil. Mix the cumin with the chickpea flour and pour them into the hot water, stirring constantly for 2-3 minutes, until the flour absorbs the liquid and all the lumps are removed. The mixture should look like porridge. Remove the pan from the heat, try and, if necessary, add a little more salt.

Line a large baking tray with parchment paper and pour the chickpea mixture, spreading it over the entire bottom. Allow to cool for 30 minutes and harden.

Cut into rectangular sticks with a knife - judge their size yourself.

Heat the oil in a large pan and fry the chickpeas until golden and crispy. Transfer them to a serving plate (no need to dry them from the fat) and serve them warm with the sauce (prepare it by mixing all the products).
